How to choose a quality Balneotherapy bathtub?
A whirlpool bathtub: a true art of well-being A whirlpool bathtub is not just a simple assembly of various components gathered around a tub to seduce the buyer. It is a complex system, governed by know-how where each element collaborates harmoniously to offer an optimal experience of relaxation and well-being. This process requires much more advanced expertise than it seems. #### Recognizing a quality whirlpool bathtub Some essential elements are visible (jets, tub, apron, controls), while others, more technical (pipes, frame, pumps), remain hidden. Here are the fundamental criteria to examine: 1. **Tub material** Acrylic is the material of choice, but its quality varies: - **Thermocryl®**: High-end acrylic, dyed throughout, durable, non-porous and UV-resistant. - **Coextruded**: A thin layer of acrylic on an ABS plate. Aesthetic but more fragile. - **Alternatives (PS, HIPS)**: Similar appearance but reduced durability. 2. **Assembly expertise** Like the human body, a whirlpool bath relies on an integrated system: motors (the heart), pipes (the arteries) and jets (the massage points). Controlled manufacturing guarantees harmonious and long-lasting operation. 3. **Pipes and suction strainer** - **Semi-rigid and glued pipes**: Preferable to avoid stagnation. - **Strainer with filter**: Limits impurities and reduces the use of chemicals. 4. **Jets and ergonomic layout** The jets must be **effective, adjustable** and well positioned. Opt for quality brass jets, perfect for back and foot massages. 5. **Comfort and depth of the tub** A depth of at least **45 cm** ensures comfortable immersion. Ergonomic bathtubs support the body for maximum comfort, while flat bottoms are ideal for children. 6. **Options and Accessories** - **Simplified Controls**: Favor intuitive systems. - **Quality Accessories**: Headrests, thermostatic faucets, or waterfall spouts add comfort. - **Advanced Options**: Neck massage or ozone drying for a premium experience. 7. **Origin and Value for Money** French manufacturers adhere to strict standards, ensuring long-lasting quality. However, be wary of unreliable imported products. Finally, choosing a whirlpool bathtub is an investment that requires a thorough analysis of materials, ergonomics, and options. A good selection will allow you to create a true oasis of relaxation at home.

Why buy a Balneo bathtub made in France?
There are several advantages to purchasing a whirlpool tub made in France over an imported product, although the final choice will depend on your specific needs, personal preferences, and budget. Here are some reasons why you might consider this option: Local Support: Purchasing a locally manufactured product can provide you with better support should the need arise. If there is a problem with the whirlpool tub, it may be easier to obtain replacement parts, repairs, or expert advice before purchase, during installation, and years afterward. This is the service we have been providing to our customers for over 20 years. Quality and Manufacturing Standards: Products made in France are often subject to strict quality standards and manufacturing regulations. This can ensure that the whirlpool tub you purchase is constructed with high-quality materials and meets safety and performance requirements. Jobs and Local Economy: Buying products made in France helps support the local and national economy by creating and maintaining jobs in the country. This can help strengthen communities and stimulate France's economic growth. Sustainability and Ecology: Locally manufactured products tend to have a smaller environmental footprint, as transport distances are reduced, decreasing carbon emissions associated with international logistics. Parts are often available in stock if needed. Customization: If you buy a whirlpool bathtub made in France, there may be customization options available to meet your preferences and specific needs in terms of design, size, features, and accessories. You choose the bathtub model, then the whirlpool system and options. Products online and in large stores are mass-produced to meet marketing demands and an attractive price. Confidence in Product Origin: Purchasing a product made in France can give you more confidence in the product's origin, the manufacturing quality, and the working conditions of the employees involved in its production. Local Know-How: France and the region of Picardy, the Baie de Somme, and Vimeu are famous for their faucets and bathroom products. This high level of know-how in areas such as design, craftsmanship, and manufacturing is reflected in the whirlpool bathtub.

How do I install my Balneo bathtub?
Step 1: Preparation Although it is preferable to work with a professional, especially for the electrical installation, we will outline the main steps for installing a whirlpool bath below: 1. Choose the location for your whirlpool bath. Make sure there is enough space for installation and that the floor is strong enough to support the weight of the bath filled with water. 2. Check the water inlets and outlets. Make sure you have easy access to the hot water, cold water, and waste water pipes. 3. Make sure you have all the necessary tools at hand, such as adjustable wrenches, screwdrivers, a drill, a spirit level, pipes and fittings, etc. 4. The whirlpool bath is installed on a finished floor and walls. It should not be installed below floor level except in special cases with a drain under the Balneo and the possibility of accessing the bathtub components. Step 2: Installing the components 1. Place the supports (if there is no frame under the bathtub) in the desired position and ensure they are level using a spirit level. 2. Install the hot and cold water pipes according to the manufacturer's instructions. Make sure they are watertight to prevent any future leaks. 3. Install the trap and connect the waste pipes to the sewer pipes. Ensure they are properly secured and watertight. Step 3: Installing the bathtub 1. Carefully lift the Balneo bathtub by the frame and place it on the support frame. Ensure it is centered and level. 2. Connect the hot and cold water pipes to the intended tap inlets if the tap is deck-mounted. If the faucet is wall-mounted, make sure the water falls to the bottom of the bathtub without causing unpleasant splashes. 3. Attach the drain hoses to the outlets provided on the bathtub. Make sure they are tight and watertight. Step 4: Electrical Installation 1. Follow the manufacturer's instructions and the standards in force in your country to connect the electrical cables safely. 2. Ensure all electrical cables are properly insulated and connections are tight. 3. Use a specific standardized and watertight connector to connect the whirlpool's electrical cable to the electrical network on the panel with a dedicated residual current device. Step 5: Testing and Checking 1. Before filling the bathtub, double-check all connections to ensure they are correct and watertight. 2. Fill the bathtub with water and test the various features, including jets, lights, and any other features. 3. Ensure there are no leaks and that all features are working properly. Step 6: Finishing 1. Install the bathtub apron according to the manufacturer's instructions. 2. Ensure all components are securely fastened and the bathtub is properly sealed. 3. If necessary, apply sealant around the bathtub to prevent leaks.

How is my Balneo bathtub delivered?
Your Balneo bathtub is carefully packed in a wooden crate before being delivered to the bathroom dealer (showroom), the installer, or possibly directly to your home. Although we take every precaution to ensure the product's protection during transport, it is crucial to carry out a check upon receipt, in the presence of the driver. It is important to note that the words "subject to unpacking" are not legally binding. To carry out this check, we recommend that you are accompanied by another person and have an electric screwdriver or screwdriver available. The uprights of the wooden packaging are secured around the pallet. It is at this point that you will need to remove the screws and disassemble the frame. Next, visually inspect all the components of the Balneo bathtub, paying particular attention to the bathtub shell, which may be wrapped in blue foam. If everything is in perfect condition, you can replace the packaging and sign the delivery note. However, if you notice any problems or damage, we encourage you to refuse delivery. If you have also ordered accessories in addition to the main bathtub, such as legs, faucets, or a waste system, be sure to check that everything listed on the delivery note is present on the pallet. Careful inspection upon receipt ensures that you receive a product in perfect condition and allows you to report any issues immediately so they can be resolved quickly. Your satisfaction is our priority, and we thank you for your attention and cooperation in this process.

What is the warranty on my Balneo bathtub?
The Balneo bathtub is guaranteed for 2 years for parts and labor, under normal conditions of use for particular purposes at home. In addition, an additional 2-year parts warranty is offered if the end user meets the specifications of the Balneo bathtub and provides their contact information via the contact form. Simple bathtubs (without Balneo systems) benefit from a 10-year warranty if there has been no modification to the bathtub shell in compliance with the DTU. For bathtubs, basins, sinks, and Dado Quartz totems, an extended 25-year warranty applies.

What is the difference between Thermocryl and "acrylic"?
Selecting the material to manufacture a whirlpool tub is of paramount importance. Acrylic emerges as the predominant material in this approach, although this umbrella term can encompass various distinct qualities, creating notable differences. A concrete example of this variation is Thermocryl®: a type of pure acrylic, cast and tinted throughout. It has exceptional resistance to UV rays, chemical agents, and the erosion of time. Its exceptional light transmission property allows it to create unparalleled reflections and brilliance. However, it has become rare to find this material, as at Condor balnéo. In contrast, the more commonly encountered Coextruded material consists of a thin layer of Thermocryl® applied to a large sheet of ABS, giving the tub its characteristic rigidity. The appearance is identical as long as the surface remains scratch-free. However, repairs can be more complex or even impossible, depending on the quality of the coextruded material. Other options, such as PS or HIPS, may have similar features, but their wear resistance varies depending on their use. The remarkable point to note is that Thermocryl® particularly excels in water resistance, even when left to remain in the bathtub for a long time. This characteristic reinforces its position as the material of choice for a long-lasting, high-quality bathing experience.

Can we take a bath in a whirlpool tub?
Yes, it is perfectly possible to take a bath in a whirlpool tub, and it will not cause any damage to the unit. However, to keep your whirlpool tub's pipes in good condition, it is important to follow a few recommendations: It is best to bathe in a whirlpool tub when it is empty, and the water level is lower than that of the jets. This prevents dirty water from entering the water circuit. Remember that it is necessary to perform water circuit maintenance twice a year, especially before going on vacation in the summer. You will find detailed instructions in your whirlpool tub's user manual, in the maintenance section. The use of foaming products, such as bubble bath, is not recommended with the whirlpool, as this can cause excessive foam in your bathroom. You can use foaming products in the tub without activating the whirlpool function. Using salt in your whirlpool bath is not ideal for thalassotherapy. However, you can add small amounts of salt to your whirlpool bath occasionally. Be sure to perform a maintenance cycle after use, as salt can damage the chrome or gold parts of your whirlpool bath. You can contact us for a specialized thalassotherapy product. The use of milk in whirlpool baths is not recommended for hygiene reasons. It is best to apply the milk directly to the skin or as a cream. By following these tips, you can fully enjoy your whirlpool bath while maintaining its proper functioning and hygiene.

How to start a whirlpool tub
Using a whirlpool tub requires certain precautions to avoid any unwanted start-up of the motors, particularly for safety reasons. Our whirlpool tubs are equipped with two protection systems: The first system prevents the whirlpool from starting when the tub is empty. To activate the massage systems, it is necessary to fill the tub with water until the water covers all the jets. It is important to note that when the tub is full and you sit inside, it can overflow if it is too full. The second system is designed to stop the motors after 20 minutes, thus marking the end of a massage session. To reactivate the massages, simply use the whirlpool tub controls. In addition, it is worth noting that our whirlpool tubs are equipped with an automatic drying and sometimes disinfection system. This system is activated automatically after each filling of the tub, with an average delay of 10 to 20 minutes. -
